Observation of the image above provides little: there's a human figure and a series of straight, curved, lines. We use powers of inference here to interpret and create meaning from the image.

Here's an example of "reading between the lines," making INFERENCES from the image above:

Finding one's way through life, establishing an identity, finding one's voice, will in large part be determined by the actions one takes when confronted with choices. One might say the "right" choices or turns in life will lead to self-fullfillment and a harmony with one's self, though the journey be difficult and long. The "wrong" choices or turns in life will most likely compromise one's expression or realization of self, and provide little spiritual fulfillment--a dead end essentially.
