Task 3: Philosophe Letter

It is the year 1691 in Paris, France... You are a French philosophe reading, listening and discussing at a Parisian salon.  Based on the radical Enlightenment ideas that you have been exposed to in the salon, you have decided to take the radical step of writing a letter to Louis XIV expressing your support for these ideas.

Directions:

  1. Read Ch. 22.2 in your World History textbook.
  1. Write a letter addressed to Louis XIV regarding Enlightenment ideas. Your letter should include:
